Job Objective:
Responsible for the financial management of the organization and plays an active role in strategic decision making for the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct general financial analysis of the finance reports obtained from various departments such as, sales, marketing, purchase, production, communication, etc.
• Performing industry competitive analysis.
• Engage in pricing and cost decisions.
• Prepare reports pertaining to their research, study and suggestions over investments.
• Making use of spreadsheets and different statistical software in order to analyze the facts of their report.
• Determine, plan and foreseeing the marketing activities.
• Driving financial planning processes and capital budget decisions
• Develop new and effective techniques for financial planning and thus rendering better service to the clients.

Man Specification
Job specification of Financial Analyst includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or its equivalent experience is required. Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or other advanced degree in related discipline would be of an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of corporate finance experience.
• A minimum of four years of experience performing complex financial modelling and analysis, and demonstrated proficiency in database management and spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
• Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, customer behaviour, profitability and return on investment modelling and general economic modelling.
• Experience and demonstrated capability of serving as effective financial business partner in customer oriented environment dealing with wide range of business areas including marketing and promotion, pricing, distribution, compensation, customer loyalty and customer care.
• Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skill required.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt easily to change.
• Background in Telecommunications industry would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of cost and financial accounting principles, practices and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all human resource activities which include employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development at the branch level.
• Coordination of Appraisal for staff at the branch level.
• Prepare process and distribute payroll at the branch level.
• Coordination of new employee orientation process at the branch level.
• Management of annual leave roster, post probation confirmations, data base management, and health, safety and environment services at the branch.
• Managing and organizing the MD’s personal agenda, meetings, travel, ` correspondent and daily routine calls in Abuja
• Attending to and monitoring urgent enquiries and issues, ensuring that they are brought to the MD’s direct attention and where necessary, referring matters to the appropriate line manager for action

• Allocate payments & clearings to sub-ledger (vendors & open invoices)
• Compiles financial information and assists in the preparation of reports.
• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts.
• Reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolves differences.
• Provides information to management, staff, and individuals or organizations; explains accounting transactions; resolves accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
• Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.

Job specification
• Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in Accounting. Experience working in the IT industry is desirable.
• Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, and Accounting packages.
• B.Sc in Accounting.ACA will be an added advantage.
