Oil & Gas Company Recruits IT Officer

Our client is a recently established independent oil & gas production and exploration company. The company was founded in 2010 and has a vision to be a leading upstream company in Nigeria by 2015. The company has established interests in a number of substantial producing oil and gas assets in Nigeria and will seek to acquire further oil & gas assets both within and outside Nigeria in the future.

The company is currently growing its organization to deliver on its exceptional and challenging strategic plan. In order to achieve this, we are now looking to recruit a number of high calibre individuals to perform a number of key roles in the organization.

The opportunities listed below outline some of the roles available for candidates with a proven track record in the oil & gas industry, a reputation for being motivated, driven, and dedicated to the success of the business.

IT Officer (ES022)
The successful candidate will have responsibility for hands-on management of the network and servers, software and hardware and their safety, rights of access and security of computer operations. This role encompasses liaison with the Group IT team and vendors in delivering optimum IT support to the business

Key Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or any relevant discipline from a reputable institution
Preferred candidates will have a mixture of accounting systems experience in a mixed Apple/Windows environment as well as a strong understanding of Cloud based infrastructure
Relevant professional certification(s) will be an advantage
A minimum of 2 years cognate experience in a similar function.
Successful candidates for the role will work in a multi-disciplinary team and will require good IT, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, combined with excellent organization and team working skills, drive for excellence and a passion for success.
