Business Development/ Operations Manager at a Reputable Oil and Gas Company

A Reputable Oil and Gas Company seeks to engage experienced candidates to fill the below position of:

Job Title:  Business Development/ Operations Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose
Developing and pursuing new opportunities for the purpose of promoting and marketing the Oil and Gas business of the Company to the various Oil and Gas Majors in the domestic and international markets, amongst others.
Handling the overall trading and commercial activities with responsibility of the day to day operations.
Ensuring availability of quality products in quantities required at all times and at most economical costs.
Ensuring that there are excellent safety, security and properly managed logistics in place and full compliance with Regulations and Laws for Oil and Gas business.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure prequalification of the organizations with existing and potential customers to enable us to bid within our sphere of capabilities.
Maximize contact with key accounts, key contacts and other critical people at various client organizations and focus efforts to obtain new businesses and generation of new enquiries for the business.
To ensure that the enquiries are screened and to determine a sales strategy, risk identification, profit potential and analysis and to ensure communication of customer needs and expectations between the company and each client,

Ensure liaison with other Departments as appropriate in relation to business proposals, projects, legal, financing, tax or other issues.
Provide inputs to Management based on market information to enable the organization to develop capability in areas to give us strategic leverage for future businesses,
Gather and analyze market intelligence for new businesses and opportunities.
Ensure Operations Policies, Procedures and Processes are in place within a month,
Processing Tenders Documents for Vendors and ensuring timely submission of same,
Propose Vendors and invite quotations, make recommendations and circulate approved contracts,
Liaise with all concerned to confirm projections of products acquisition, storage space and logistics plans.
Liaise and negotiate with potential vendors and supplier(s) on product availability.
Prepare product acquisition and sales proposals, stating volumes required, target suppliers, customers, costs and sales proceeds.
Ensure each product is acquired most economically and of good quality and correct volume/quantity; and sold as per approved profit margins.
Ensure sound logistics management at all times, including adequate transportation, storage, vehicles timely management, safety and security, etc.
Ensure full compliance with Regulations and Laws for Oil and Gas business,
Ensure excellent maintenance of Oil and Gas Assets.
Other duties that are assigned.
First Degree in Engineering or Business Administration; a Masters Degree in Business Administration is an advantage.
8 years in business development and operations functions in Oil and Gas establishment(s).
Exceptional customer and vendor awareness and sales and operations skills in the business development, marketing and operations aspects in the Oil and Gas Industry, with ability to market products and services and manage operations.
Conversant in modern computer-aided planning, marketing techniques and Operations Management Processes.
